How did people actually manage an alpine farm hundreds of years ago? Answers to these questions and nostalgia galore are provided by the exhibition in the Alpine Museum, located in the “Nagulschbalmu” alpine hut on Riederalp. Your visit to the building initiated and run by the 1606 Alpmuseum Association gives you an insight into how alpine pastures were managed in times past. In summer, you can also watch butter being churned and cheese being made. Tip: Bring a little something to barbecue, as there is a barbecue area plus wood in front of the Alpine Museum.
