Tracks in nature tell us a lot about the animals that live here, even when they remain unseen. A keen eye and some practice help us discover even the more subtle traces.
After a brief introduction to tracking, we embark on a hike in the Aletsch Forest. Always alert, we look for footprints, feeding marks, feathers, and other signs that reveal more about the animals of the Aletsch region and their behavior. We not only sharpen our observation skills but also learn how to interpret these traces.
Led by Verena Schatanek, biologist, nature educator, excursion guide, and nature school teacher.
