So good!

Winter holidays in the Aletsch Arena

In winter too, the Aletsch Arena is no less of a paradise for families. On the Gletschi Family Funslope, children can make their first attempts at skiing around the exciting obstacles. The ski schools in the region offer courses specially tailored to children so that the little ones can learn to ski in a fun way. Gletschiland, the indoor playground on Bettmeralp, provides yet more variety, guaranteeing fun and exercise even in bad weather. A special highlight: with the “Schgi fer frii” programme, children under the age of 16 ski for free every Saturday – an offer that gives families an unforgettable and inexpensive winter holiday.

Family skiing

  1. With the "Ski for free" promotion, Aletsch Bahnen offers children and young people up to the age of 16 a free ski pass for fun on the slopes every Saturday during the winter season.
  2. Families benefit from attractive discounts when buying family ski passes during their holidays in the Aletsch Arena. The pass for the third child and each additional child up to 16 years of age living in the same household is free of charge – regardless of whether one or both parents are present.
  3. If parents or a babysitter are taking turns to look after small children under 6 years, they can use the same ski pass (1–14 days).
  4. Families benefit from individual ticket options at the trainer lifts. For more information, please contact info@aletschbahnen.ch.
  5. The sponsored learn-to-ski programme “Kids on Skis” gets children aged 3 to 5 on the snow for free in the low season.

Gletschi Tour

The Gletschi Tour is a winter sports tour through the Aletsch Arena and a real experience for the whole family. It includes all the highlights such as family fun slopes, snow tubing, Skimovie and more. Children now have the opportunity to take the Gletschi Tour with the Gletschi Tour Guide. They can pick it up at the sales points of the Aletsch Bahnen AG, in the restaurants of the Aletsch Bahnen AG or in the information centres of the Aletsch Arena AG. With the Gletschi Tour Guide, children can collect a total of six hole patterns. During the winter season, there are six Gletschi stations spread throughout the Aletsch Arena, each equipped with a pincher. Once all six hole patterns have been collected, the full Gletschi Pass can be exchanged for a small reward in an Aletsch Bahnen AG restaurant. In addition, all participants have the opportunity to scan the QR code on the Gletschi Tour Guide and take part in the main prize draw. This gives you the chance to win great prizes for the whole family. Among other things, a summer weekend in the Aletsch Arena will be raffled off.

The Gletschi Tour is marked throughout by blue piste boards with the Gletschi symbol. So you can choose to tackle the ski circuit as a day tour or master individual stages again and again and have fun at the Gletschis-World-of-experience stations in between.
