- Start: Fiesch, public transport hub
- Destination: Fiesch, public transport hub
The tour starts by the public transport hub in Fiesch, with some relatively flat terrain on the way towards Lax via Wiler where you can warm up. This is the start of the big climb: more precisely, the 12 km long and mostly unpaved Alpine and forest road that winds its way tightly through the woods and later across the meadows to Fiescheralp. After this section you'll have covered an impressive altitude difference of 1,200 metres, so most of the climbing is already behind you. From Fiescheralp, the route continues past the cable car station and towards Märjela along an Alpine road 6 km long. The gradients are very moderate on this section of the route and once you reach Obers Tälli, you'll enjoy a magnificent view of the Fiescher Glacier. The final stage leads through the illuminated Tälligrat tunnel straight to the Gletscherstube restaurant, where you can regain your strength with some Valais specialities.
