- Destination: public transport hub in Fiesch
From the public transport hub in Fiesch ride towards Lax as far as the tennis court at the end of the village. Turn left here, cross the Rhone bridge by the power station and ride a short distance across country until you reach Binntalstrasse. Follow the road uphill to Ernen, a village famous for its beautiful centre including the Capuchin and William Tell houses and St. George's parish church. At the eastern end of the village, the best route to take is the dirt track that runs uphill and leads onwards to Mühlebach. Cover a short distance on flat terrain at the end of the village, then follow the easily rideable forest track that winds its way in long sweeps up to the Chäserstatt restaurant. Here you'll find a wonderful sun terrace offering a fabulous view of the Aletsch Plateau and Lower Valais. The return route follows the same forest track until just before Mühlebach. At this point, make a sharp right turn and ride eastwards via Steinhaus before crossing the Rhone bridge in Niederwald. The final stage of the tour leads out of the valley along Furkastrasse and back to Fiesch.
