The train journey to Lax is a very special one. After the stop in Grengiols, the journey continues over the imposing viaduct of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway and on through the 592-metre spiral tunnel and to Lax station. On arrival in the Valais holiday resort, an utterly charming, cosy little village awaits you. The village square is beautifully picturesque. The old part of the village takes you back into days gone by.

Lax’s central location at 1,048 metres altitude is ideal for a holiday. You’re on the plateau of the Aletsch Arena, in Fiesch or in Goms in next to no time. This makes Lax a good starting point for activities in the great outdoors. You’re staying in a little village, but you can still enjoy everything that the surrounding area has to offer.
