The Aletsch Arena is officially one of the best ski resorts in Switzerland.

Thanks to the support of our guests, the Aletsch Arena has made it onto the podium in the ‘Best Ski Resort in Switzerland’ category at the Blick Winter Awards. A total of 50,000 people voted. There were 66 destinations to choose from.

The Aletsch Arena placed third out of 27 in the main category “Ski and Snowboard” and third out of 48 entrants in the “Family” category. Our neighbours at Goms Tourism won the “Cross-country skiing” category for the third time in a row.

In the Blick Winter Awards, the Aletsch Arena secured third place in the main category “Ski and Snowboard”, close behind Zermatt Matterhorn. In “Family”, the second category for which the Aletsch Arena was nominated, the region claimed the second spot on the podium. Our warmest congratulations go to the neighbouring Goms Tourism who again won an award in the category “Cross-country Skiing”. Bellwald made it into third place in the “Small but exquisite” category. The International Ski Area Test, launched 28 years ago, is an anonymous quality check. In winter as in summer, visits are paid to participating ski resorts or tourism destinations, which are inspected and evaluated based on a comprehensive list of criteria. Aletsch Bahnen AG was named winner of the overall summer ranking, earning the title “Test Winner Switzerland – Summer 2023 Gold”. The Aletsch Arena cable car company also won the “Nature & Environment” and “Ecological Construction Monitoring” categories for the new Moosfluh geology footbridge. Aletsch Bahnen AG was also awarded the “International Summer Quality Seal – Cart/Scooter Trail Gold”. Aletsch Bahnen AG’s existing ropes course and the refurbished Baschweri children’s playground in the municipality of Bettmeralp have been awarded the “Kinderland Trophy – Baschweri Gold”.

The renowned International Ski Area Test gets its data from detailed, anonymous tests in 36 tourism regions in the European Alpine region. Aletsch Bahnen AG was named winner of the overall ranking, earning the title “Ski Area Test Winner 2020 – Switzerland”. The Aletsch Arena cable car company also won the “Rising Star Project 2020 Switzerland – Public Transport Hub Fiesch” and the “Mobility Trophy – Public Transport Hub” categories. The piste and rescue team was delighted to receive the “International Piste Seal of Quality – Double Gold” and the “Piste Manager Trophy”.

The piste and rescue team can be rightfully proud of their “Piste Rescue Safety Trophy – Gold”, “International Piste Seal of Quality – Double Gold” and the “International Toboggan Run Seal of Quality (Moosfluh)”. The Bättmerhitta was named the Most Popular Ski Hut.
